Meet the Coaches

 

Gerald Stansbury has a very diverse amount of expereince with playing and coaching basketball.  Gerald played locally at Broadneck High School.  After graduating he attended  Division 2, Pfeiffer University in North Carolina, Gerald played on the team there under then head coach Dave Davis who received many accolades througout his coaching profession.   Gerald continued his playing career after college and has played in many different countries including Israel, Ireland, and Canada, he also spent 2 seasons in the Atlantic Coast Professional Basketball League with the Bay Area Shuckers.  He gained his first coaching experience as an assistant at Marymount University, he coached one season with the Saints before becoming a high school coach.  Gerald coached 7 seasons at Broadneck High School before joining 1 on 1 Basketball. He continues to want to develop basketball players and help them become successful in sports and in life. 

 

Gail Davis has been involved in successful basketball programs for many years. Gail played on a State Championship basketball team in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. After her high school career, Gail accepted a full-scholarship to play Division 1 basketball at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pa. At La Salle, she experienced league titles and trips to the NCAA tournament. Gail began her coaching career at La Salle University as a graduate assistant coach. She then coached at the United States Naval Academy for two seasons before joining the coaching staff at Georgetown University for five seasons. Gail is now the head coach at Broadneck High School in Annapolis. Gail is married to Emmett Davis who served as an assistant men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy before becoming the head coach at Colgate University in New York where he remained for thirteen seasons. During his time at Colgate, Emmett became the all-time winningest coach in Colgate basketball history. Gail and Emmett are the parents of three sons.
